clutch update for those that offered assistance at cooma

well the pick the defender up last week, one week ahead of expected repair time

a spring had popped out of the clutch plate............what a pain that can be

in went a heavy duty clutch along with everything else being replaced including pivot, bearing, rear main, fork, pressure plate and from memory rear main seal. I also popped a rear t-case output seal on the way home so they replaced it as well

thanks to all those that offer the help at cooma.....a big effort was put in but no luck

i asked them to replace the clutch slave as we had it apart three times but they said it was all good.....i might just carry one as a spare i think

touch wood i shouldn't have any issue with the clutch while i own it

How does a spring get to pop out of the clutch plate.
Is this just one of those strange things ?
