weeds has em on some disco wheels
Looking to swap teh tyres (but not rims) between my two Deefers.
In order to do so I need to know:
Will 7.50 r 16 's fit on a 7" (Disco) rim ?
And as an aside - does anyone have a cheap set of standard 110 steel wheels for sale ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I run my 7.50R16s on 7" RR alloys. I don't think it's an ideal fit but it works OK.
Some tyre sites say 6.5" is the maximum rim for a 7.50 tyre, others say 7".

I run 750-16's on disco rims no probs...
an LROC member rolled his Defender mid corner on a trip about 10 years ago. I think the cause was 7.50R16s peeling off Disco rims.
Load, pressures all come into it, but as Scouse says, its not ideal.

Those who run 7.5 r 16s on disco rims.... do you run tubes or tubeless ?

Legally, no.
Go to your local tyre supplier and ask them to check their big book of reg's with regards to tyre sizes and maximum rim sizes.
750R16's can go on 6.5" max (according to reg's).
235/85 can go on 7" max (according to reg's).
Don't look at me and swear like that, I'm stuck in the same spot.
Yes you can stretch them on as some tyre manufacturers say their 750R16 will fit on a 7" rim (would be worth checking what the tyre manufacture says) but legally they are not allowed, you need to swap to 235/85R16's.
... which is why I need another set of tyres for my alloys![]()
