Thread: button on park brake lever wont pop back out

whilst putting the centre console etc back in this arvo i went to hook the park brake back up and the button went in but wouldnt come back out of its own accord. I can push it back out by hand but it wont do it on its own. I tried lubricating down around the button incase something was causing it to stick but no good. I tried screwing the button out for a look but no good. How do i fix this?

yeah i have taken the handle off and put some silicone spray down it and that didnt work. I can see the mechanism at the bottom of the handle. I will give the graphite powder a go, thanks mate. matt
