    cost of HS 2.8

    Does any one know how much a new HS 2.8 engine is.

    About £5k in the UK, and the only person I knew who used to bring them in here now doesn't!

    12 months ago I looked into bringing an HS 2.8 into the country to fit to my Defender - Tthe engine complete with fitting kit and heavy duty radiator (must be fitted) was going to cost just under $15000.00 landed in Brisbane tax paid. I decided against using the engine because it was never sold in commercial quantities in this country - I fitted an Isuzu 4BD1T instead.

    The guy who used to import them from south america doesnt anymore as they are not built anymore.

    They were around $10k oz + other mods such as radiator but not much more.

    Good luck getting one nowdays.
