Not chirping while not under load (not driving) does not prove it is not the exhaust manifold leak, the turbo will not boost properly until there is a load on the motor so you probably won't hear it chirp unless you are driving until it gets really bad, I hope this helps.
Cheers Keith

Gday Stevo
I would be looking at the turbo, this may sound a bit strange but I have heard my brother in laws Mack truck (bit bigger but) chirp due to a crack in a turbo, he also metioned that it's happened before with a hole in the suction side of the intake on the turbo. When you give it a rev in the drive you are not really working anything hard, it may be the reason that you only hear it when you are out on the road.
thanks
Bazz
Well mine's doing the same thing along with at least two other distinct new noises from the turbo area. It's in for a service next week so we'll see....![]()
Ok.....I need to get more information, but looks like the winner could be WildOne, its something to do with the front drive shaft, something was cracked so they are replacing it. Once I speak to the mechanic will get more technical information to pass on, thanks for all the advice,

Stevo
