the LRA site only lists Bilstein open/closed lengths.

My measurements from a 130 (base of pin to base of pin, and centre of eye to base of pin, as per Bilstein and Koni measuring. Rancho and others measure to the middle of the bushes on the pin)

    Front. 550/328mm
    Rear. 550/350mm

    Recently taken off my 110

    Genuine LR shocks

Front collapsed 325mm extended 545mm the rubbers add 40mm to both lengths.
    (base of pin)

Backs got tossed a couple of weeks ago so can't help there.

thats great cheers for that. i think the rear shocks are stoping the rear flexing i cant get it on the bump stops before it lifts a wheel almost 2 inches with out mesureing it up. this weekend i will pull the shocks and mesure those up there ome im sure there standard length with longer ome springs and its just not working well its realy becomeing a pain off road like driveing a leaf sprung toyota however the front is working realy well with the factory front coils and ome shocks but i think it can be improved too

Usually this is caused by stiff springs, but remember that dynamic loads are bigger than static and on a trail it may be OK. A load will also help.

thats what i first thought. the springs are prety heavy one arvo i picked up about 300kg or so of bricks from the outlaws house and went to my prooveing ground for a bit of a test the ride was softer as expected but flex realy dident change in a static situation. i thought it would flex right up with the bricks right over the rear axel but no joy. when i do some testing this weekend i might load it up again for loaded and un loaded test and take to it with the tape mesure and see what i find .

the front works that well the bump stops are out of shape ie worn where the axel has been hitting. but somthing that worrys me is the springs have been hitting the chassie when its flexed up i thought somthing might be bent but its the same both sides the front spring are the black ones with a purple stripe i think with the bottom coils tightly wound and touching each other or just about anyway

i get the same thing with my d2. it has some sort of aftermarket suspension and it doesnt get anywhere near the bump stops -front or back. obviously i cant check while the car is moving, but i have stopped it and gotten out while its cocked a wheel at either end to check.

Pretty easy to check on the track.

If they aren't touching, the bump stops will be dirty. If they are coming into contact, the bottom faces will be clean/dark.

I think that the way original springs may be made (or it's how they end up)

The coil bound section of mine was at the top, and its sitting next to the HD replacement.
