Holy Crap .. My Td5 is like a new car ..!!!
Ok .. sorry to go overboard a little,
1.5 years ago, I brought my td5, I remember getting in it, goin .. eh it goes ok for a pommy pile of metal and some rivets .. it moved along ok!
Laterly, I have been getting the craps with it, feeling its slow, pain in the **** to drive. Then the engine starting to miss / feel like it was on 4 cylinders, not the 5 we love, and was lumpy like a v8.
I brought it with Oil in the harness (and got 2k off it due to it.. mahah!) with 140k on it, but for the last 65,000km (yeah I drive more kms in my d110 than most of you drive in a 10 years) it was not affecting me .. or, so I thought.
Today I spend $146.00 on a new harness and seal (that I will be taking back as I didnt need it) and I just went for a drive.
Its back, my Td5 is back!!!
I have power, all through the rev range, I no longer have the delay when throwing the foot down to get up the huge hill at my doorstep, and it goes like the clappers (ok for a defender) again!
Best bucks I have spent to date on my 110 since I got it!
Welcome back old girl .. another 200k in ya yet pal, I was losing faith!

Glad your Td5 is back Cameron , so how have you put up with it all this long???
was it Just a New Wiring loom required ? or was other things done as well.
You might now consider a Mild chip ( is it flashable or non-flashable? , intercooler and list just goes on , hehe just kidding , that's great mate..

Erm, the issues only started happening in the last two fuel loads , so last 1000kms or so .. and once the beast had warmed up the engine stopped missing and it was ok ..
What I didnt notice was the gradual slow decrease in power, I thought I was just getting used to it, forgetting what it was like when it was going at its peak ..
I still need to clean the full loom, give it a spray every 2-3 weeks til the oil is all gone, but what a easy / cheap job for such a huge improvment!
I do not need more power, or chips (old ecu so I can not get tombi to "Fix" it for me) I do not tow big boats etc, so I am happy with what I got .. (((for now .. incase my woman / financial adviser reads this)))

Lots of times I've past D2's and defenders on hills on the freeway towing my box trailer loaded and the look like what have I got in that thing. Makes me wonder how many people not on AULRO and have this problem don't know until their car just stops.
