Mate, get your dampers and measure, measure and measure again, and allow at least 20mm compression of the bumps stops..........trust me on this, they easily compress that much.
The design of the adjuster in a twin tube Koni does awful things to the foot (bump) valve and usually the pressure tube too when they go metal to metal at full bump (compression)..........
Yep well if our going to do this mod to save the shocks from an early death you beta increase the length of the bumpstop the same amount that you chop off the tower as the posability of the shock bottoming out will mean sudden death to it much worse than topping it out as toping out the shock dosent put no were near as much force into it as a bottom out if you shorten the turrets 2in use a peice of 50x50 sq tube to lengthen the bumpstops and get longer bolts to fix them on through holes in the sq tube its just as simple and added insurance for the shocks ;);)
:D:p.
