The Unichip piggy back's to existing ECU and will replace mechanical advance. Requires a specialist install and tune and in the order of $1,500 these days. You may also need to change coil from memory.

The next is a chip to replace existing fuel maps. I have one of these in a D1 that matches my driving conditions and minor mods like heads, intake etc. About half the price of the unichip and a self install.

I get the impression that Unichip are losing market share to more recent people like Haltech.
Graeme Cooper have now switched to Haltech and tell me that they have returned all software to Unichip under their agreement and therefore cannot check the tune on mine, and that there is now only one shop in Sydney which has Unichip and they charge $300 per hour for dyno time.
Whether this is true I have not checked.

Ward told me the same thing, Uni chip wanted too much money off there distributors, so everyone is going wolf or haltec, but there very expensive and the uni chip is as good (i think)for our sort of application not if your on the track every day

there was a place in Granville who still do the uni chip don't know about prices though

Thanks for replies. They seem a pain as cant get softwhare or conectivity to tune (Have acces to a dyno) If I can't find one in central NSW I'm going to take it out. Might look at different Fuel and duel advance setup that can be tuned by DIY laptop.
It is a M90 Blower with duel fuel on a 3.5 with 14cux hotwire at this stage till I find 3.9 or 4.6. Block. Any suggestions?
It has to be reliable wich might take megaSquirt out of the equation.
    Thanks Tony.

    Move the coils....?

I believe Jezzaol is going to mount his on the fire wall as so is Taff in his county.

I put mine there because it was easy at the time and i still stay waters for boats...

Btw, a ver4 will quite happily run a distirbutor based ignition syste

I tried to up load a screen shot of the software but didnt have any joy. Pm me you email adress and i will send you a copy of the software to have a look at if you like

I have to forward water here. Its the only way out when it rains The boats don't do well here in the mud
Move the coils... I may have to lift the body a bit more
I still like the set up anyway.
