Silver oil
Changed oils in the driveline of the 130 today and the front diff oil was silver in colour , i.e. like extremely fine metal gliter suspended in the oil. Age of oil unknown , first time since I have owned the truck this oil has been changed so 20000+ ks and no apparent bad noises or lash in diff. The old girl just ticked over 300000 ks the other day so I thought I would give it a birthday. What could it be ? What course of action do I need to take ?

It is most likely some of the swivel grease leaked into the oil contaminating it. I would suspect it is nothing to worry about.

How silver? Lots?
The rear on my P38A did the same and it had lost some teeth but was still driving fine.

Run a magnet through it and let the oil drain off over night. I had a similar excercise with the Disco last year...followed shortly by alot of back lash in the ring & pinion.
It could also be the main roller bearings on their way out.
