			'94 Defender Suspension
		
		
				
					
					
				
				
		
			
				
					I have taken out the complete suspension of my Defender and after cleaning and respraying it it now needs to go back in but I have the following questions:
1. I am fitting Maxi Drive / Hi-Tough engineering shafts front and rear. I understand some guys remove the internal oil seal and use the diff oil to lubricate the bearings instead of grease. Is this  a good idea. If so, is it just this one seal I would be removing? Do I still need to use grease when I fit the bearings? Do I use grease for teh upper and lower swivel pin bearings?
2. The lower shock mountings on the front diff seem oblong in shape and not nice and round. The two sides are also not the same shape. Is this normal?
3. I did not mark the position of the propshaft when loosening it from the transfer case. What impact will this have if I don't refit it in the same position?
4. I removed the splined shaft from the propshafts without marking its position and have the same concern when refitting as in 3. above. Will this require a rebalancing of the propshafts and if so what does this entail?
5. I removed all 4 the brake discs from the hubs and have resprayed them. After doing this I realsied there seems to be two pairs of hubs. The one pair has two deep round holes on the inner side and teh other pair have only one. Which pair is front and which pair is right? 
I'm sure there will some more questions to follow but any help with teh above will be greatly appreciated.

					Ok.
1. yes, you will get longer spline and bearing life by removing the inner axle seal and using an RTC3511 hub seal (mounted 4mm below the hub face)
Lightly grease the bearings on installation.
2. that's wear, they are supposed to be round, and yet most end up like that as the rubbers flog out and you get the pin wearing the mounting plate away. I've never really worried about it. 
3. probably not much.
4. should have marked them, 
 but you'll probably get away with just reassembling. If there is a vibration, you'll know why !

					Another question:
