    Body repairers - Melbourne

Just wondering if anyone has had body repairs done recently. I have damaged the rear LHS of my Defender backing into a pole!

I am hoping someone knows a reliable panel beater in the Melbourne area who is familiar with Landrovers.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Lionel

I'm picking up my Defender from a panel shop today. I got swiped by a 100 Series that took out both drivers side doors and the B Pillar. The SIPS (Side Impact Protection Steps) prevented further intrusion into the passanger compartment.

Once I see the job, I could let you know how good they are, but as soon as I get in the car I'm off to Maryborough to get LEEDS his switch, so I won't be online again till Monday. In my case though the panel shop has replaced both doors and the B-Pillar with new ones, so I won't really be able to comment on panel repair work. I think they've done plenty of other Landy stuff before as they're across the road from a major 2nd hand Land Rover seller.

I had some dents taken out of my Disco by D & S Plose in Nunawading - they've done quite a bit of work on LandRovers apparently
There's also one that advertises in LROCV mag - can't remember their name.

Perfect Panels in Glen Iris are a very good Land Rover specialist. They have done a few jobs for me over the last decade and all have been perfect.

Sorry about the belated reply, the Defender wasn't ready till Monday, as the little rubbers at the back of the door handle weren't supplied with the handle and had to be ordered on Friday.

Anyway, it looks like a well done job, by AAA Accident Repair Centre, across the road from Ritters (111 Highbury Rd Burwood) 9808 4088. The back door pops open a notch, and it's going in for adjustment tomorrow, but they'll get me a new lock if there's further issue. I was glad they used new doors and a new B-Pillar, rather than try to bog up the damage. I especially didn't want a cut and weld job on the B-Pillar, even though removing it is a very labourious job.
