    King Springs 2" Lift

I bought a set of Heavy Duty King Springs with 2" lift for my '94 Defender 110. When I put them next to my old springs they are more or less exactly the same height (uncompressed). Granted I only bought my vehicle recently so I am not sure whether I had standard springs.

Does anybody know the exact height of standard and 2" lift springs in order for me to ensure I have the correct springs before putting everything back together?

    Its ok...

    They are higher rate... (stiffer)

The lift is from the extra stiffness

So all the springs whether 2" or 4" lift will all be the same in height when uncompressed?

It all depends on what springs where actually in the Fender. Look for some colouring on the spring. I found mine to be the same and sit at the same height in the rear with my new Kings 2" over standard. It turns out there are 3 different sets of springs the Fender may be fited with and the ones I had in were marked purple which are HD springs and sit 2" over Defender standard height suspension, but could be ordered from factory. You will not know 100% until you put the new ones in if they are the same or different, though some springs are stiffer so will sit higher under load.
