    Clutch damper

    Hi all

Has anyone done away with the clutch damper on the Tdi 300 discovery.
Im still no closer to solving my problem. I was wondering if the damper is the culprit.

I believe it is to stop fluid surge or some such (in the paper manual I vaguely recall reading) The fender with same gbox and engine doesnt have one so cant be too vital. i recall a post many moons ago about someone removing theirs on a disco to reduce shudder on take off????

When the clutch damper failed on my D1, I could feel a pulsing effect in the clutch pedal.

    When replaced, no pulsation.
