    EGR Removed today.

Whats another thread on two threads in here today.

Just finished installing my EGR Removal kit. (Thats sounds weird...)

    Problems and issues.

Firstly. My intercooler hose I suspect is on its last legs (almost 90k) And was dripping oil. The drop in EGR pipe thing would have had an oily film from my hands and while testing it out, at peak boost it came off.

Would I have done any damage to anything internal. It came off just as I was lifting off for a gear change so revs didnt continue after it came off.

Why the hell is there THAT much oil in there. The reason why I noticed the oil was because I gave the hose a squeeze to see how soft it was getting and there was oil on the bottom side of it.

Now I need to get another rubber one because I dont have time to wait for silicone ones... *insert wow is me phrase here*

you wont damage anything internally. you realy need to remove the intercooler and flush it with a solvent/ white sprit to remove all the oil trapped inside. the hoses wont be the best after 90 thou of oil... ide clean it up as good as possible and re fit it with 2 clamps (or a super clamp from a hose/ bearing shop) and then order some sillicone ones.

    cheers phil

ps, mine blew off a while ago with 2 clamps, but i did manage to hit 30+psi
