    Hi Justin,

Apparently TD5's have red top and green top injectors. Can you advise the year range where you would expect to see Red top Vs Green top? I have a 2000 model, which I assume is classified as a early TD5.

    Thanks
    Chris

Chris, Green top injectors are supplied around the 1a7.....VIN range. (IE mid to late 2001 onwards.)

Hi Justin Long time no hear, hows the holiday???
Blknight advised on one of these over the last couple of weeks. His tip was fill the tank mac-chokers,ie right to the lid then run with the cap off,if its boiling its head off its an injector leaking exhaust gas into the fuel system.

    G'day Andrew,

Oops, I must've sounded like a bit of a re post! Didn't see that one.

Trust Dave to have come across it before me!! He gets all the fun!!

Trip was shortened and we came home early...
We turned south at Laura on our way to the Cape, after deciding that there was no way the better half and I could possibly endure another 10 days of remote camping with 2 sulky, arguing teenage girls!!!

We are planning next years trip by ourselves unless attitudes change!
