I'ts not about your car ... but the theory's the same

To lift or not to lift...That is the question

LongStroke has most probably summed it up tho

New Boy as well, Newton way.
I thought I had sorted what I wanted to do to my TDI300, but have stopped for a rethink, the Miss still has to do the shopping and take the boy to day care etc and we would like to do a bit of camping and have a look around SA if not further.
Tiers sound and look good, suspension lift body lift are once again being reconsidered. in short I just don’t know what I really would need.

I did see a web site Adelaide LR club, they meet last Friday of each month, organize day trips and camping trips etc, I would like to catch up with them but have losed there site and google seems to have losed them as well.

Bilsteins arn't cheap but they are worth it, they are fully rebuildable and we got a set for about $710 but you can get them for alot cheaper from the states, around $450-$500.
try this site Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com
The US ebay sell them cheap aswell.
also we got a pair of king springs for a disco1 and they were $180 a pair.

I'll be going for LRA or Dobinson springs next time - the OMEs are too firm - their softest is a 'medium' and I think this is still too firm - fine for touring; less than ideal for any gnarly stuff...
Always looking for creative new ways to get bogged... :whistling:

76 RR...sold coz fuel was expensive at 70c/l
    93 200 Tdi Disco...old faithful...sold to make way for...
    99 Td5 Disco ACE...nice drive...hopefully reliable...
