Whilst the paper gasket and grease system works very well, I often just ditch the gaskets and use a thin smear of ordinary plumbers silicone. works very well on flanges, swivels and diff's (not for use around the engine or g/box though) never fails to work. Different areas call for different sealants,, some of the ones I use are 3 bond, form a gasket and high temp silicone.
