    4 X 4 rims ?

    looking to get some 8 X 16 rims for off road any one know of a good brand to get and were I might be able to get them. they would be to suit a 1990 Range rover and can be in steel or ally. price depending and pros & cons for each. will be fitting 315x75 16s micktompson baja claws or 35 inch in impireal size.

    sorry about lack of info got called out to a job but it is for 1990 RR and steel or alloy depends on price and pros and cons for each

    Steel is heavier, and when you increase weight to things that provide drive to the car it means slower acceleration/breaking, but I dont know how big a difference.


    Steel when damaged will bend, but can be bent back out in the bush to get you out of trouble. Alloy will just snap. Alloy will be more expensive.

    It seems most people run steel when doing touring/hard day trips.

    Im sure some other people will be able to tell you prices, I've no idea.

    They are excellent rims & look the part but expect to pay around $200 a corner.
    He just quoted me $170 ea to cut out my ( They are Easterns centres) 6" & replace with 8's & I was providing the 8" rims

    There were some 35" mickeys on Ebay already on rangie rims with retainers for around $1500 reserve. Not sure if they sold though
