does it have fuel getting through and a spark?

    Is it carb or injection?

    Is it turning over?

    Cheers

    Welcome to the forums
Could you expand on "it won't start" as it could mean anything (as Psimpson7 suggested)

There bucket loads of reasons why it won't .... need you to be a bit more info
    Also whats your location???

It has spark, fuel, and is fuel injected also on gas, and is an auto. I checked starter motor it works, and battery fully charged, I have also bridged out the park neutral safety switch witch is faulty.
When I turn the key to start all I get is the sound of the fuel pump running and what seems to be a relay energising.
I don`t have a wiring diagram but think that the problem must be electrical, not allowing power to get to starter solenoid. The car has been operating OK I just went home after being up the bush next morning turn the key and nothing.
I would appreciate any suggestions other than the petrol and match suggestion, thanks.

Check ALL of your battery conections and especially the earth leads from batterry to engine block, engine block to chassis and body. When I say check, I mean undo them, clean wire and terminal thoroughly, replace and tighten. Still no go, then the starter solenoid is probably jammed, a few light taps may get it going, if not pull out starter, remove solenoid and clean and lightly lubricate the plunger part, I use a light coating of Graphite powder, if none of this works, time to get an Auto Electrician to have a squiz, let us know what the problem is and how you fixed it, Regards Frank.

Yeah, I second that check all the main leads are tight and making a good connection.

What about a faulty ignition switch?

Can you short out the starter solenoid? (dont know if you can do that or not on a RRC) (that would rule out the igntition switch and wiring if it still didnt work)

You can remote start by shorting solenoid triger with Bat lead but will involve getting under it. I have seen someone run over doing this as was in gear So please be carefull. My 89 model did this after a high speed water crossing wile on Morton Island. Turned out the force of the water took the wire off the solenoid

My 86 rrc had a relay block on the passenger side of the engine bay that would crank the starter if you bridged the and 87 and 30 terminals. The block it the closest to the engine in the relay bank (it shouldn't have a relay installed.) The block the large (aprox 4mm ) brown wires heading to the 87 and 30 terminals.

Bridge this and see if it cranks. that'l confirm your stater and solenoid are good.

I never did work out what this was for?

Was it a bypass for a resistor on coil on start OR open acc circuit on start?
