how do those Fairy overdrives go? on stage1?

Hello, my first post. I was just wondering how one of those fairy overdrive boxes would go on a stage1? are they easy to fit, do they work? Just for debate, ute or wagon? mine is currently a wagon, but I like utes, but then wagons are like a mobile motel, good for tool carriers but then utes can be loaded with a forklift!!! I don't know at the moment, maybe a vote!

    A series Fairey won't fit a stage 1. You need a range rover/LT95 fairey.

The series fairey is a horrible, noisy, badly designed piece of crud that howls when in use, loses oil worse than the exxon valdez, and doesn't lubricate the drive gear adequately.

I don't have personal experience with the LT95 fairey, but it is apparently slightly better, but not much. Much harder to find though.

Both are hard to get parts for.

IMHO - a better option would be to pull the LT95 and fit an R380 5-speed and LT230 t-case from a rangie or disco.

if you were thinking of going that way providing your V8 wasnt too wild you could also just drop in an lt85 with the lt230 behind it.
