That water temp cant be right!!!!.
On Nanocom, starting from very cold,ie 5deg water temp, the water temp rises to 55deg on my short trip to work, just over 1km and I dont even get to use 4th gear!!!
Anychance it needs bleeding????? A run to full operating temp may be the answer.

Yes it does seem low, this morning a good run of 40min, max water temp was 36C, that does seem low, max EGT was 258C, that has got to be wrong, the Tranny oil temp was 52C that seems to be about right volts seem good and oil pressure seem OK at around 3 to 3.5 bar.

Kerry is going to check the EGT probe this morning to see if the probe is in properly.

OK she just rang as i was typing the above, the EGT probe was loose and nearly outso hopefuly it will be OK on the way home now the water temp.

When i screwed the water sensor in and was installing it, i noticed it didn't seem to be as far in as the factory sensor, i might need to check this.

This is the TD5 adaptor and sensor

    This is where it goes

I asked Leo109 about fitting his EGT kit where you have,he didnt recommend it as you werent getting a true EGT reading as it is only reading 1 of the 5 cylinders. His thoughts were to drill/tap close to the turbo.
I think your gauge is reading old school,36F=96.8C,258F=496C,being electronic, should only be a mater of reading the book of words to get it to show metric

It would be higher reading F.

    36 F = 2.2 C
    258 F = 125 C

The EGT is all good now, reading on the way home last night and coming to work this morning were 260 to 607 max, the max was testing it up a long hill, as you back off the throttle, it stabilises then starts to drop, seems to be working good now, the water temp is another story

    connector

Baz, your going to shoot me but looking at the pick the water temp is not connected.
I may be going down to the gong and can drop you a extra temp sender to test in a bowl of warm water. Else you can do that with the existing one just take it out connect it, place it in a bowl of cold water (just a bit), now check the reading, start adding warm water and see if the reading changes as you increase the heat.

Maybe your thermostat is stuck open.

That photo is from the Madman website, Jan we tested it last night, i bleed the system to make sure there was water in the top hose, then read the EMS no change, this morning we watched the EMS gauge and the temp gauge on the dash.

It started to rise as the car got hotter, but would drop, then start to rise again, it got too 37C then dropped to 32C and stayed there.

Thermostat is new and we tested the sensor while engine was stopped after bleeding it.

    in reality that means nothing.

love a buck for everytime i have seen new thermostats that dont work properly....

the way the temp goes up then down means to me it is either the thermostat opening early or the sensor miss reporting the temp.
