SupporterHas anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with using Lucas Power Steering Additive?
My PAS pump has a bit of a high pitch squeal from time to time and as far as I can determine, the Lucas Power Steering Additive should eliminate this.
It's call "Stop Leak" so I'm guessing it would have been used by a few LR owners on here
I did do a search but this topic doesn't appear to have been looked at for a while...

I found the Lucas product, (not related to the like-named electrics thnkfully), to be very good and to do all that was claimed for it. Apprently it reduces/stops seal leaks by either making the seal material more flexible or swelling it - anyway it worked for me in the Dsco..

The Lucas stuff has worked for me in my 110 as far as leaks go. Not sure if its going to be a long term solution however.........

I reckon it gave me more than a year extra before having to replace the seals on the box (actually got a new box cheap so replaced the whole box). Can't comment on its effect on pump squeals - never had any!
