    Vdo Gauges

    Has anyone had any experience in buying vdo gauges?? I am chasing a dealer that can post aust wide without costing me a small fortune.

    also does anyone know when you buy a td5 tacho from the dealer are you supposed to get the retaining nut with it or is it a separate part. just wondering if i got ripped

    I have been doing the same research for my Defender 300Tdi and Ive got a few quotes from these two suppliers...They were for Temp and senders, Boost with fitting kit and Tacho with loom also EGT...

    These guys sell Landy Gauges...

    These guys had good prices and freight...Also very quick response to email..

    This was the Egt I was gunna purchase..
    ThermoGuard Instruments

    Iam just waiting on my TAX RETURN ...

    I know that I got replacement VDO temp sensor from Repco, they have them as normal service parts.

    I do like the Cryotec gauges




    they look awesome at nite.


    Edit:

    Here is a VDO gauge I purchased from AUTO one with the POD for about $30ish



    and wired it up with a seperate 12 volt switch

    and a pic of my Thermoguard EGT . Ian's Gauges are top quality

    With VDO gauges, the postage is the least of you worries.

    I recently bought a 2" tacho and a 2" vac gauge and it set me back over $300.


    The Speco units are much cheaper, but didn't do a 2" tacho, and then the faces wouldn't match.

    If you know the VDO part number and the gauge isn't one that needs metric markings, then these will ship internationally and are the cheapest I've seen.
