3.9 hard to start
Hi all.
Any one come across a 95 3.9 Disco that is reluctent to start until you let the key go back to ign position? If you keep the starter engaged it often will not start.
(Similar to the problems older vehicles had that used the resister type ign system).
Thanks for any suggestions.

If you mean you are turning the key to start position and nothing is happening, it will most likely be the switch on the back of the barrel and key. Mostly a good shot of Inox on the contacts will clean them up.
I had this recently with my 93 RRC, now works like a charm.
If it turns over but doesn't fire up, it could be a number of different
things. You will need to clarify exactly what is going on......
