Hi all
Need Help
As I am new to RR I have been Reading the Haynes RR manual (finally got it) to familiarize my self with things and was wondering what the self leveling unit does and how do you Know if it is working or not.
1990 RR vogue 3.9 ltr
Cheers
PS: also does any one know what type of socket do you use on the swivel housing retaining bolts and the two bolts used to mount the brake calipers.
In the parts CD it is called M10 part # FRC 8528 it is not like you're typical Hex head bolt but looks like cogs on a sprocket or a spline
thanks
what size ring spanner are they metric or imperial
M14 12 point 1/2inch drive socket for the front brake calipers, M14 ring 12 pt spanner for the swivel hub bolts (and or same thing in a torque extension), and 1/2inch imperial 12 point socket for the rear calipers ( I think). And, whilst you're at it, buy a six point impact socket in 1/2inch and a long extension bar for the gearbox studs or starter motor.
As for the self leveling unit, put some stuff in the back so it sags, and go for a drive, going over some bumps. The up/down motion should prime the unit and level out your car.
