I am newly located to the region of central Victoria about equal distance between Ballarat and Bendigo and about 1.5hrs from Melbourne. I am looking for a good workshop preferably in regional Victoria.
Does anyone have a good mechanic on their payrole up this way?
I am replacing all the consumable items that I can myself but I need someone to provide feedback on the more technical (the things that require skills that I don't have) aspects of the 130's condition.
The plan is to start a slow (and hopefully) reasonable relaxed tour of the world by trusty Defender 130 and chassis mounted pop top camper (yet to be built) in 2009.
So reliability is everything.
That is, as reliable as you can make a '96 Defender.
