    Talking lock up diff what oil ???

    snappy question I have an air locker on the rear diff not sure of the brand guessing as the compressor is ARB possibly it. Doing an oil change any special oil required or just 80/90

    For a Maxi Drive locker it's just the normal oil I assume ARB is the same - but you could always ring ARB to be sure to be sure. ( as the Irish say )

    Apparently ARB are the LSD oils and Maxi are the normal oils...

    I bought an airlocker from ARB hq in Bayswater some years ago. They advised me to run limited slop diff oil in it to maintain the O-rings.
    This diff was old stock that had been sitting on their shelf for about 3 years when I bought it. The seals failed after a short time due to this time drying out. When I took it back to them under warranty, their salesman said 'you've probably been running the wrong oil in it'. I replied that I had been running it in LSX90 as advised by them. They overhauled the diff with no further complaints. Has lasted about 7 years since then in LSX90.

    Just use what ever you use on the front

    Its a diff, that is all

    It has no friction plates requireing a slipping agent, Viton O-rings, don;t need a slipping agent
