    noisey county lt95

    help .my lt95 in a 85 county works fine but in 1,2,3,it is really loud but 4 no noise at all .yes it has oil in it .do the lt95s from a rrc fit the county and what would u pay for one

    Layshaft bearings, pretty common on high KM LT95's and it'll keep going.

    Yes, the RRC LT95's fit countys, but if yours is an Isuzu 110, then a later RRC,1983 to 1984/5 close gate shifter will be a direct swap, gearing and all with only the bellhousing for the Isuzu having to be swapped over.
    If it is a V8110, then the High range gearing is lower, but a RRC one will be OK. The other thing to remember, is that you will have to swap over the rear output housing etc to retain the county park brake. The RRC one is pathetic.

    seconded on the laysaft bearing deal....

    Fit a magnetic plug in place of the filler plug and keep an eye on the swarf build up....

    I spent 3k fixing the noise in mine when I got all the parts out they looked fine certainly were not going to fail in the near future.
    From what I understand its quite common after seeing the condition of the parts I removed I wouldnt waste another 3k but the peace of mind is good.

    Guy is that one with the suposed reduction gear set still available up your way if thats the one your calling "full Reco" id do more reserch on it if i was you as it was all false in the end and the said box has had bits removed as the pics didnt paint a good picture for me thats why i passed on it and it didnt have the TRB done either

    My County had that noise when I bought it (yes it was layshaft bearings), I got around to getting it fixed 50,000km later.
