What's the best way to go about removing the bonnet decals on a Disco (the spelling of 'land rover' across the front) ?

As said Eucalyptus oil or pressure cleaner and metho or goo remover.

If that doesn't work use a heat gun on a "low" setting and keep it moving so you don't do any paint damage. Then clean up with eucalyptus.

Once they have baked on with 20 years of the sun, they are near impossible to remove. Been there, tried all that on my '86 RR. In the end, I had to use thinners. Thinners tends to damage the paint.

I'm not too concerned about paint damage... I'm going to be taking an orbital sander to it at my Uncle's panel shop
The roof and bonnet look ****house.
If you are preparing for new paint, don't use eucalyptus oil. Sand the decals off.
