Lumenition Module to Pirahna Optical eye

I have a Rangie that had a full Lumenition ignition setup, untill one night when the optical eye in the distributer came loose and tore all the blades off the rotor. I have a pirahna equipped distributer which i have fitted, but dont know if its able to be run from the Lumenition Module, as it has different coloured wires. I was tempted to try different combinations of wires, but I am worried about frying something.

Does anyone know if I can run a Pirahna equipped distributer off a Lumenition mudule, and if so, what wire pirahna wire goes to what lumenition wire?

Never mind. I did some more searching, The pirahna optical eye works in a much different way to a Lumenition optical eye. It wouldnt work properly even if I did get the wires right.

    Smile pirana v's lumenition

i had the pirana system with my old motor and found it to be nothing but problems when it came to water crossings as it seemed it just didnt like water i now have a lumenition system which is second hand. now to my point i have a spare working pirana module to suit 3.5 v8 range rover that you could buy off me for $50 or the module is available from most reputable spare part outlets or 4wd shops Byron spares in Inverell NSW is one that can get them. As for adapting them to suit each other i dont think its possible as they run on different polarities in their signal for spark.
