    idle knob

    ----------No, not what you are thinking.------
    Has anyone fitted and idle knob to a defender before, how easy is it and where do i get the parts.

    I haven't fitted one to a Land Rover before but I got mine from a truck wrecker.

    Most mid-80's Japanese trucks used an idle control knob. Mine came from a Daihatsu & was a knob/cable assy.

    It can be got as a retrofit kit..

    I can install one on pretty much any landrover in about 30 minutes or so providing you dont mind it looking agricultureal..

    an anchor plate gets rivited to the accelertor pedal and the floor, what is essentially a choke cable gets wired up there and you wind up with a choke knob somewhere on the vehicle that can be locked off at varius positions....

    Fits all rovers from the SI right to the RRS...
