    TD5 Injector Loom connector broken

Doing some research for my mechanic mate. He has a 2000 Disco Td5 at the moment. Symptoms were rough running sometimes fine, sometime 3 cylinders etc...

Tracked the problem down to the plug where the main loom plugs into the injector loom below the rocker cover. What has happened is that the plug has perished and the little clips won't hold the pins in anymore. Any Ideas????

Is this part of the main harness or can this be replaced separately? He's trying not to fork out for a new loom.

Oil in the Harness, suspension knock, transmission clunk, engine oil leaks, exhaust manifold leaks, centrifugal oil filter stripped bolts, a/c leaks, door leaks, wouldn't trade it for the world

They snap when not treared REAL GENTLE,did it myself.
Ive used tie wire to secure it to the bolt on the rocker cover above it.Hasnt given any problems since.
Tell him to remove the ECU,next to battery,if there is oil leaking from it there is the issue,it causes missing and all sorts of problems!!!.ONLY LANDROVER CAN BUILD A COMPUTER THAT LEAKS OIL
If there is oil coming from the ORANGE connector you need to search "Oil In The Harness"

Yeah, Oil in the loom is not the problem as the internal loom has been replaced. Is the loom part of the body or can it be replaced separately?

He is currently thinking about getting a second hand loom and splicing a new plug on.

    Hi All
I replaced both looms 2 years ago took a few hours the hardest thing was feeding the loom behind the engine and connecting the glow plugs.
    Regards

So there was no trouble "looming"?
