96 Disco tdi timing belt due.

I am getting my timing belt done on my disco tdi 96 done 200000 kms and was wondering if there should be anything else looked at while it in being done?

I am used to doing all the work myself but just getting out of hospital and the belt being due had to book it in and I will be out of action for awhile so was thinking of getting some advice if anything else should be looked at?

If you have the dollars available it is the easiest time to do :

    a. Radiator clean and flush
    b. Clean out your intercooler
    c. Replace your belts
    d. Replace your hoses (cooling and inter cooler)
    e. check your powersteering lines (the brackets that hold the hard lines to the chassis can wear through which is hard to see with the radiator in.

Surely the belt on it at the moment cannot be the original belt? 200,000 ks? One belt?

Therefore, how do you know the belt needs replacing? If the belt had been changed by previous owners at the correct time, your belt has done around...?

Maybe it doesn't need to be changed!
