    discovery D2 shock length Q

    hi all

    does anyone know the open/closed shock lengths for a D2 with a 2" lift?!! Trying hard to find out but having no joy.....cheers

    ARB shocks? If so...

    Front
    Open: 23.7"
    Closed: 14.7"

    Rear
    Open: 23.0"
    Closed:14.5"

    Landrover stock:

    By ARB do you mean OME? Also what does the third measurement relate to (ie 218 207 268 263?).

    Tombie, that data is not for the D2. I'm guessing its for D1's

    The ARB (OME) data is D2...

    OEM landrover length is the same as D1... So applicable in the std lengths

    Just to note though that all D2 ends are eye ends.

    any reason why the OME measure shorter for the rear than the front (stock and LRA seem to be longer in the rear than the front)? Also still cant make any sense of the third measurement.

    The 3rd measurements is shock travel - the difference between open and closed lengths.

    Not sure re OME. They usually spec them to get the most out of them.

    thanks Slunnie! Ah, Shock travel - if i was better at maths i would have seen the pattern and worked that out myself! NOT! All coming together now. Not as confusing as I thought. I think........
