    Fuel issues

    Good evening all!
    My question is simple. What km/litre should I expect from our 9 / 2002Discovery series2 tdi auto with 63000km on the clock.
    I found out today it's a pup. Whilst underneath it I see 2 small oil leaks have appeared on the sump. Obvious its not old enough to mark its own territory.

    8.5k/l city cycle out to about 11 on the highway if you drive it right.

    wouldn't a 2002 disco 2 be the TD5 tho....

    the td5 would do the same but you wouldnt have to be so nice to it.

    It is a series 2 tdi 5.

    I went to book it in for a service yesterday and a "salesman" said "you should be getting about35 MPG"
    Yeah good onya I thought cause that equates to 12 km/

    At its best it gets 10 km/litre.

    Your doing well.

    The stats on mine are:

    12.44L per 100 km
    8.07km per litre
    22.08 MPG

    Mine is a MY2003 TD5 Disco w/ auto.

    If anyone wants an Excel spreadsheet that calculates all of this, let me know & I will post it up.

    2002 Disco Td5 Auto: 12.08L/100km averaged over 72,000km or the last 6 years of ownership, had since new and keep records as its a work car.

    That equals 8.28km/L

    Our 1997 Tdi Manual Disco did 9.9L/100km on its first tank - we haven't had it long enough to see how it will go long term.
