9:44pm and all is well!!!
Just went out and started the beast.
No more warning lamps, and now I can sleep easy!
Whew. I have been servicing this vehicle since 10K old, and this is the first and now the LAST time I clean the engine compartment.
The owner is going to have a laugh about this, but I certainly wasn't laughing at 5pm this afternoon I can tell you!

Does it have some kind of inertia sensor that could have been agitated by the action of the fire hose?

I saw a BMW MINI that was jumped and deployed side airbags. It steadfastly refused to start for about 20 afterwards. Apparently this is setup as a deliberate feature. I just wonder whether you shook something up with a blast of the firehose?
Did I mention you met friends of mine in Charters Towers this year? I think you stayed on their property nearby. I nearly stayed there and got to meet you! They left you to meet up with us that morningThey said they had a great time with you

The inertia switch didn't trigger in this case, as I got to drive it all the way home from work this evening, another warning lamp coming on every 500meters or so!
Charters towers, The world IS small!! We left the next morning too, but only to go up the highway to camp and fish for redclaw!
That 110 Isuzu was a beautiful sight, and the RRC of (Ron?) was well travelled and the same colour as mine!
Would've loved to stay longer, but as is always the case, you meet people you really would like to travel with the DAY you are leaving town

I used the gurney on mine the other day with no probs, although I did keep the engine running.
I'll pass this tip on.I have worked on water trucks now for years, the one I have now carts water that is 12 times saltyer(how do you spell that?) than sea water.Every day there would be a fault light on the dash or the brake, headlights etc wouldn't work. Now for the tip, every time I dis-connect a plug, terminal, connector I spray it with lanolin before re-connecting.Water resistant, water repellant best lube besides Ballistol you can buy and non conductive. No more grey hairs and I sleep soundly at night.JC I'll post you some. Pat
I have hosed under the bonnet of the d2 many times, particularly after beach trips, and never had a problem.
