    Pinion Bearing Caps

I'm currently upgrading my 10 spline diff center to a 24 spline Detroit Locker for the rear and a Detroit TruTrack for the front. I'm also changing the ratios to the Ashcroft 4.11 Crown Wheel and Pinion. I purchased these second hand and the TruTrack is already set up in a housing.

I purchased a Banjo housing of EBay, and have started stripping it down to replace it with the Detroit Locker. I'm also going to replace the Pinion bearings. I have the housing all stripped out apart from the rings the bearings roll against. Do I need to remove these? If so how?

    TIA

    Hi,
Yes they need to go, simply knock them out with a mild steel punch (to avoid splinters). Be careful not to damage the surfaces of the housing and deburr them when done.
