Genuine windscreens don't have the band if you are concerned.
I am repalcing my def 94 windscreen and the tinted one (slightly green) has a blue shading at for teh top 2-3 inches.
This is apparently standard, is this correct and any thoughts on this, they are coming tomorrow morning to install so please help.

Don't want to buy genioune windscreen for double the price though.
Will the clear windscreen also come with this blue shaded strip?
I bought OME last year $110 and $65 for the seal. Pat

Thx all, I eventully took the after market one for $225 fitted plus seal and the blue shaded area at the top of the screen is less than 2 inches so looking good.
just had a new one fitted to my fender $210 fitted onsite. took all of 10 mins.
the one i had just taken out had tint on the top and it was knocked back on a roadworthy because of a stone hit i received two days before the roadworthy dam it ..
