    Is $750 fair for a D2Td5 Radiator?

Hi guys, is $750 a fair price for a new radiator (not original LR but it is all aluminium and made by a reputable australian manufacturer)? The price includes fitting which I'm told is something of a job as the entire grill etc has to come out.

I did the radiator in my TD5 D2 18 months ago.

$324 for a recore unit with 12 months warranty. Apparently extra goop around the fuel cooler section where they are known to leak.

Took me nearly 4 hours after removing half the front. (I did have one of those poly nudge bars which had to be removed first, probably would have saved an hour without it)
Local operator quoted $600 just for the radiator, So if you dont have tools/ skills/ time, then $750 doesnt sound too bad to me.

You might even get genuine for something close. I had one overnighted to Cape York + $100 worth a green glug and that cost me about $950 or something like that.

Installing really isn't a nice job and it takes a bit of time, especially if its a prefacelift Disco. I'd get them to do it unless you have a stack of time and kid will little hands to help.
    Cheers

For a fully fitted alluminium radiator that is probablly not bad. I would much prefer full ally to the plastic tanks they now seem to be fitting.
    PWR do some nice radiators.
I have to say I never found getting the radiator out of our Disco that hard (97), just a bit fiddly.

$488 is the current RRP from LR.

plus 4 to 5 hours to fit, flush and bleed system. (5 hours if a Bull bar etc is involved.)
