If i were you and my shocks were on there way out i would buy some 2" raised springs along with some 2" raised shocks to suit the lift
    Heres some 2" bilsteins......... https://www.suspensionstuff.com.au/s...e9pk7h25lokkk3
Not shore you would want to spend this amount though

It does not say the shocks are any longer, only that they are for a 2 inch lift. I am pretty sure you cannot get the longer Billstein shocks anymore.

But then again, unless the spring is actually longer a longer shock is not going to do that much.

Do a search, springs, lengths, rates, shock lengths have been discussed ad nauseum on here.

I thought the question ha been answered. In case he missed it, the only way to raise it and not stuff up the articulation is to get custom springs made that are 2 inches longer and the same compression rate as standard

I recommend 245/75x16 which is the largest tyre to fit without a lot of trimming. On a Disco you will still have to trim the rear of the rear guards. gearing is incresed 6% which is bearable and on mine anyway makes the speedo exactly correct.

To repeat my post for 235/85 you will need a 1 inch body lift.
Spring lift is really irrelevant for tyre fit unless you increase the size of the bumpstop.
    Regards Philip A
I run 235 85 16 BFG Allterrains with no body lift only 30mm suspention lift.

I have run it minus sway bar and it doesnt foul anything (other than front radius rods on full lock) on full articulation both ways.

Gearing is fine, it takes off with traffic (normally faster than) and gets great economy for a lifted vehicle.

Ive added some pics to help you make up your mind.

My Disco just after lift and tyres fitted.

Ridepro 30mm spring lift and 15mm longer (than standard) stroke big bore shocks

My Disco Ramped just before fitting lift, ramped after lift and it was exactly the same.

Jamie Rodgers (Allranges 4wd) Disco 1 3" suspention 2" body 34" simex's LRA flares just for comparison.

He now runs 33" tyres same body lift but the same suspention as mine other than remote res rear shocks.

Not really a true demonstration but your looking at a whole 2" more articulation than mine with the sway bar fitted out of his with all the bits and bobs.

The next step up from Jamies is either dislocating springs, modified radius rods etc etc if you wanted more than this.

I would say they extended the bump stops on the front but there was also no inner guards on the back as it was a 2 door tray so no need on the rear.

It was orange and ran Ridepro suspention sponsership I think the owner/drivers name was Adrian but I may be wrong.

I say I know of but I only know of second hand and havnt seen it myself but it was brought up in a similar convo with some mates one night at the workshop.
You mean the one Beau know owns, built by Rangie Automotive (Adrian Cauchi) raced by Ossie and now my mate owns?

    It has a Body lift

Spacers are easy enough to make for the rear, but the front is a lot more difficult due to the shock mounting through the base.

Well aparently Adrian was going around saying that it was only suspention.....seems he sells suspentions kits I could understand why.

Like I said, it wasnt first hand.

It would have to be you or Rovercare to do it, though

    If in doubt, power out
