What's wrong with the mechanical one that runs off the engine? Cheaper than the electric one and easier to get to.

Put an electric one in the line between the tank and the mechanical pump, and a filter between the tank and the electric pump. Two pumps give peace of mind, and makes for easy starting. Turn on the ignition, wait for the electric pump to stop ticking, and prime the inlet manifold with several pumps of the accelerator. Those square pumps from Supercheap are pretty good.
