    New D2 V8 Engine Saver

I bought the new Engine Saver for the D2 V8 - it arrived yesterday, took 30 mins to fit (including getting to that bloody grommet under the brake servo)

Really easy. I fitted the LED in a switch blank on the RH side of the instrument binacle.

I drained some coolant out to test, works perfectly, topped it back up and bled the system. The test beep when you switch the ignition on is not 'offensive' - however the warning beep when the water is low certainly draws your attention.

All in all - a very good development of a product, and no I am not on commission.

Which top radiator hose design do you have? Is it the earlier design where the coolant bleed screw is moulded on the portion of the hose that is held in place by the radiator shroud, or is it the later version where the bleed screw is built into the plastic T junction where the hoses meet, above the serpentine belt tensioner pulley?

It's the version with the bleed screw moulded into the hose, that is held in place by the shroud.

Hmm, OK. Thanks for the info.

I have the latter design, because the earlier hose cannot be purchased anymore, as far as I'm aware. I had the original design and then when I proactive replaced all the hoses, thermostat, etc. the new hose design was fitted by the dealer.

The bleed screw on the new design hose has a completely different thread and size, and I've alerted the manufacturer of the engine saver about this some time ago.

Not sure whether he now has a version of his product that is compatible with the new hose bleed screw.....
