110 County Propshafts - All the Same?

I have 2 1985 110s. One is Isuzu, one is a V8. The rear propshafts look the same and, as I only drive the diesel and its propshaft is pretty worn, I was thinking of doing a swap. I mentioned this to a local parts guy and he thought they might have slight but important differences.

    Does anybody know for sure?

I don't know for sure, but as the Isuzu is effectively a conversion of the V8 I would be very surprised if they are different. Note that there are several versions of the prop shaft that while different, appear, as far as I can tell, to be interchangeable.

Take them off and compare - if the attachment flanges are the same, and the closed and extended lengths are the same, then they are interchangeable, even if not identical. (The one I am using at the moment has different U-joints and the spline the opposite way to the one it replaced!)

If they are the same length compressed & extended, then they are interchangeable. The drive flange ends are identical as is the Salisbury diff.
There are a few different shape uni joints but with correct bearing tolerances. Pity I cant photograph the Uni joints to show what I mean as the garage is inacessable at the mo.
