weekend mait on the d1, help...

im looking at changing the diff oils(front and back)
i have never done this b4 , but i am sllightly mech minded i would assume its a easy process.

on a d1v8 is the bottom bung the drain and the top one is to fill?

how much oil in each diff? or do i just fill as much as i can get in etc...

also any recomendations for what oil to use?

i also plan on greasing the drive line also..

    all help is appreciated.

you might have grease nipples on the steering ball joints, some don't have them.
any grease should do, just visit the drive shafts often.
you might like to check the transfer case level, and or change that oil also. the drain plug is a hex plug 17mm? i think, on the bottom of the case and the fill plug is hidden up behind the hand brake drum 1/2inch square drive ratchet fits it [same as the diff plugs, and just fill it till the oil drips out the filler hole. [same as the diffs]
i presume you have an auto, so just check the dipstick.
