.... or go tou your local kinchrome supplier and buy a 1/2in angular torque jobbie.
Small 1/2in extension with a protractor and adjustable pointer.
Quick easy and accurate? Less than $10.

Great write up. I am however having some issues after replacing my Td5 Head gasket.
I’m still getting oil in my cooling system.

Is it possible to tighten the head gasket some more after a recently gasketchange?

After less than 250km, I had a shop replace the head gasket and now it is leaking again.
I’m in the 3rd world, so no legal recourse here, as for taking it back to these hacks.
I’m gonna try tighter, maybe 100 ftlbs total.

Does anyone have any opinions, short of an entire tear down and rebuild?

    thanks.

    Oil on the cooling system?

In my very short experience with engines, oil in the coolant is USUALLY from the oil cooler, if you think about it logically, for oil to get in the coolant requires that the oil be under more pressure than the water in the cooling system, usually the main place - and possibly the only place that this can occur is the oil cooler.

The head bolts are tightened by angles on the last stages as they are TTY, if they have been replaced (as they should have been ) don't touch.
As Shack has correctly stated, you will need the oil cooler matrix replaced ( below the exhaust manifold), no need to touch the head.
    good luck with it.
