Its not that hard to do mate, centrefuge is only 3 bolts + 2 bolts on the pipe joining centrefuge to the sump. bank on 2 hours to do the job slowly![]()
My Disco Td5's water pump is so sad tears of coolant are flowing out the drainage holes - I guess that means I need a new one!
Does anyone know if you can get it out without the major dismantling described in RAVE? The clearance between the cover and the centrifuge is pretty tight!

When i did mine i also replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and studs so i had the turbo out anyway. The aircon pump is 4 bolts and just moved to the side, you dont have to disconnect (read you dont want to disconnect) the aircon pipes. Even with moving the aircon compessor, disconnecting and pulling the turbo and removing/changing the serp belt, 2 hours is do-able. Really is a straight forward job.
I did'nt remove the fan and managed to change the serp belt easily enough. Is handy though to have another set of hands to hold belt tensioner while installing belt onto pulleys.
Check your exhaust studs before you go off and buy a new waterpump as its a good time to replace them if you have a broken one......or two.![]()
