Anyone had any bad experience with these tyres?

    Gday guys,

Looking to see if anyone has had any bad experience with the following tyres.

These are what I am tossing up between to get for my disco for touring tyres.

    1. BFG A/T's

    2. Mickey thompson MTZ's

    3. Dick Cepek FC2's

Any good or bad experiences would be great.

    Cheers

Im on my second set of BFG AT KO's on the disco now and Im still wrapped with them.

I would love some muddies as on a couple of trips they have prooven why they make a Muddy version but they are very capable and very tough.

The others I cant help you on im sorry, ive never had anything to do with them.

I've not run any of them, but I have noticed that the BFG AT ko specifically in the 235/70-16 size doesn't hold the bead well at all.

Hey micka, we need to get out for another drive soon!

yeah i am leaning towards the MTZ's have heard good things about them, but thought I would see what everyones experiences have been, and cost will play a bit in what I decide to get.

One of the reason I have chosen these brands is that I need a 35" r16, and these are nearly the only brands that do it.

    thanks for the reply's guys.

There are heaps more tyres that come in that size. Have you looked at 315/75-16 which is a 35x12.5R16

    I thought cooper stt's came in a 35 ish r16. They'd be a good touring tyre.

Yeah if you sell you house to by em!

I would go the MTz's. They are getting good reviews by a lots of people and are a tough construction. You might want to look at the ATZs as well...just as tought, but more of a AT pattern.

IVe run the first 2, but not the thrid lot....

the BFG's got better mileage then the mickeys... BUt the mickeys were second hand on a vehicle that i purchased so I dont know how they'd been used prior, just what K's were on them...
