    A/C Fans

    Hi Guys
    Quick one
Should the A/c fans come on when the temp goes up (without the A/C on) or are they just for when the A/C is on.
Car is a TDI 300 Disco

I read on Rave that the fuel temp sensor can also activate the fans.

    Ok guys
After a bit of searching on this great site I found that maybe I should see if the fans are working.
Turn key on dash lights on A/C and nothing, tried with motor running nothing.
So before I mount a switch can someone please tell me which wire I can conect to the battery to see if they are stuffed or not.
There are two sensors on the thermostat housing are these the wires I use.
    Hope some can help.

    Regards
    Jukebox

Yea, bridge them to see if they're working

Why do you want a switch? if its getting hot, I'd VERY STRONGLY suggest fixing the heating issue

One wire is plus, one is neg .....if you get the two wires mixed up they run the wrong way.............just make sure they work.

,,,,and if the fans work but not when the AC is working you need to investigate why.

They should run with AC on
They should run with ac on or off when engine temp rises above 100
