not sure how much better the disco 2 seats are but personally i like my fender seats for comfort on a long trip more than my disco 1... rangy seats have been put in by some so assume should be similar

I know its a much older car than your defender, but I always remember WB Statesman seats being bloody comfortable.

You can put any seats in any vehicle with a bit of work.

I'm in the middle of putting EL XR6 seats in my Disco1. I'm not a huge fan of Disco1 or 2 seats but if you do get them then at least get some with lumbar support. My Disco1 doesn't have that.

If you are going to all the trouble of fitting different seats though, then just keep an eye on ebay. Plenty of comfy bucket seats going for under $100 a pair.

The cheapest way to improve the seating in your Defender is to go for a drive in a series Land Rover. When your get back into the Defender it will seem like heaven!
Seriously I find Defender front seats excellent.
